For the past two decades, we have created job opportunities for women and youth by supporting them in their income generating activities.
By training them in necessary skills and providing them with financial support, the beneficiaries have been able to start up small businesses which have enabled them to in turn support their families and earn a better living.
We have assisted women to form joint working groups and provided them with machine capital like grinding mills which they use for sesame oil production. Additionally, we have trained them in Basic Business Management skills to enable them maximize their profits.
Recently 750 students graduated from our vocational training in Mogadishu.
They were trained in several skills including dressmaking, electrical installation, auto mechanics, masonry, plumbing and basic computer skills.
These skills increase their chances of finding jobs opportunities in the market.
